cake cookies and country strong

last night i decided to make cookies to thank joe, who met cray cray jay in columbia in order to deliver my beloved papillon. jay called papillon "the package." i told him joe would be wearing a black hoodie and be on the back side of the gas station, but nah he showed up normal.
so, i made these cake cookies from erica's 5 ingredients or less cookbook.
how to make them, you ask....
mix one box of devil's food cake mix, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 4 tablespoons water, 2 eggs, any sort of chocolate or peanut butter or caramel chips. spoon one inch plops of mix onto a greased pan. bake 10-12 minutes on 350 degrees.
yea, i said 10-12 minutes, not 60 like i did. oops. the house smelled like it was going to burn down but still my amnesia kicked in and i had forgotten about the last pan worth. needless to say, they are black and pretty much charcoal. i considered feeding them to mishie and becks the skinny cats to fatten them up a bit, but i decided against it.
the cookies that baked the right amount, however, are delish. i recommend them.

heading to winnsboro in an hour with jpate. the city of dreams but mostly nothing. we plan on four-wheeling and hopefully riding horses. fun fun fun. we wanna watch Country Strong, too. never seen it. basically, we want a bonafide country weekend, you feel me?

blog you on the flipside.
